BoHo Elopement x Kat and Ross - Q&A

Why did you decide to elope rather than go for a more traditional wedding?

We decided that we couldn't think of a more romantic way to get married than to elope, just us, in Cornwall. We also kept our marriage plans a secret until after we returned, making the whole experience extremely personal, intimate and really very magical.

What made you choose BoHo Cornwall?

We chose BoHo Cornwall as we found it was the perfect mix of luxury and seclusion for an elopement venue. From first contact, we found Maya and Tom to be very welcoming, accommodating and thoroughly lovely hosts.

What were the highlights of your elopement?

There were many highlights of our elopement, from the vows themselves amongst the twinkle of candles looking out towards the Atlantic, to the peace and tranquility of our retreat, we had all of our expectations met, and more.

What will be your lasting memory?

Our lasting memories are the beautiful intimacy in which we said our vows to one another, especially that moment in time when we were just married, and hardly anybody knew but us! Also particularly the atmosphere and beauty of the entire venue from our modern boutique retreat, to the grand country house itself, and of course the incredibly lovely hosts and our photographer, Adam Gibbard.

What would your advice be to others planning an elopement?

Our advice to others planning an elopement would be to make it as personal as you can and enjoy every moment of the intimacy of your special day.

Looking back, would you change anything or do anything different?

The only thing we would do differently would have been to stay at BoHo longer!
