Where will our elopement take place?

Your wedding will take place at Pengersick Castle. Our 2 night Elopement Package includes exclusive use of The Castle Suite or Beach Retreat.

You can find this hidden gem at Praa Sands, between Penzance and Helston. It's a magical Tudor castle dating back to the early 16th century. Set within beautiful landscaped gardens, it exudes all the charm and history you’d expect from a 500 year old, Grade 1 listed castle. Turn right out of the gates and Praa Sands beach is a 5 minute stroll away. Perfect for photos after your ceremony and maybe a Champagne picnic on the beach.

Will we have exclusive use of the castle?

Imagine... a Tudor Cornish Castle exclusively yours whilst you exchange your heart felt vows, surrounded by candle-light.

Your ceremony will take place in The Solar. It's a room steeped in history and has a wonderful sense of ceremonial formality yet, at the same time, it feels cosy, intimate and oh so romantic.

If the weather is kind you can, if you choose, marry within the Castle's beautiful landscaped gardens.

After your ceremony, you can wander hand in hand across nearby stunning beaches before returning to your exclusive Retreat to sip Champagne and reflect on your perfect day.

Will our elopement be a legal marriage?

Accepted Answer

Yes, of course! As long as you have a licence, licensed venue, registered officiant and at least two witnesses, your ‘just the 2 of you’ elopement wedding is as legally binding as a large scale, more traditional wedding

Can we marry outdoors?

If the weather is kind you can, if you choose, marry within the Castle's beautiful landscaped gardens.

There’s no need to bring witnesses with you. Maya and Tom have been delighted to have witnessed hundreds of weddings over the past decade. It’s a real pleasure and privilege for us.
